The Only Fred Shirt in the Landing Party
I'm thinking of changing my blog name to the above title. Read this comment by Peter Suderman at The Corner, followed by this comment, a response by a reader. Then do a little happy dance, like I did in my own mind.
My only gripe is that Suderman immediately gives the speechwriter all the credit in his first post.

Ben, I am very happy for you. I hope things go well for your uncle's candidacy. Are these shameless posts your way of angling for a sub-cabinet position?
Don't make me sic "Uncle Fred" and his red pick-up truck on you, Marty. I have that power.
Now I may be wrong about this, but I thought those commentaries of Fred's were actually staements he made on radio while filling in for Paul Harvey. Maybe because it says ABC Radio at the bottom. They still could've been "written" beforehand. Either way, I believe it's Fred's voice, "all alone".
I read an article today that said someone was already caught trying to dig up trash on Thompson's wife (something about an alleged relationship she had when she was 16, which never actually happened). It was assumed to be a GOP rival doing the digging.
Ben, I'm as smitten with the guy as you are. Hell, the British Press is already writing about him.
