I Got Mail!
So Jonah Goldberg posted this offhand comment over at The Corner, and I shot him a quick email to thank him for cracking me up (avid Corner readers know this is only the latest in a series of one-sided discussions involving the lancing of volcanoes using airborne lasers by Mr. Goldberg), and get this... he responded!
Now I'm star-struck... I'll never wash my... er... emailing hand again!

nah, just some "restraining order" nonsense. Mostly a bunch of legalese mumbo-jumbo.
Actually, in its entirety, he said "delighted to be of service!"
Still, it's something.
I've found that once you get in the "inner circle" of these movers and shakers, you can really begin to influence opinion and change public policy.
The secret is that in your *next* e-mail, you should address him like you're childhood friends: "Yo, Jonah-whale. We've gotta get our heads together and brainstorm about this Ahmadinijad nut before things get out of hand". Something like that.
